National Public Radio
During the Summer before my senior year at Howard University, I had the opportunity to work at National Public Radio as the Audio Engineering Intern. The experiences, lessons learned, and people I got to know were irreplaceable.
All of the interns produced their own stories for the end of the internship. As the Audio Engineering Intern, I mixed all of their projects, the premiere, as well as producing and mixing two of my own.
Below, you can hear the "Intern Edition Premiere", an audio compilation of selected stories by the Interns, as well as the two stories I produced: "Public Radio: Dead or Alive" and "Take Me Out to the Go-Go", an in depth look at Go-Go music, a percussion-driven genre of music native to Washington, DC.
WHUR World
During my time at Howard University, I produced a "News 'N' Two" Spot for WHUR World, a high definition radio channel broadcasting culturally rich content to a diverse audience on the WHUR-FM HD Radio network. This piece is about South African artist and activist Miriam Makeba.
WHBC, Howard University's Student-Run Radio Station
As a student at Howard University, I was fortunate to spend much of my time at the student-run radio station, WHBC, as an on-air personality and member of the production team. Here is some of my work as a member of the WHBC Production Team.
